Self-propelled graders are mainly classified according to six dimensions: frame structure, wheel configuration, power rating, operating method, drive type, and application.
Mobility: Self-propelled graders and towed graders
Frame Structure: Integral frame (mainstream before the 1960s) and articulated frame (smaller turning radius)
Power Rating: Light (scraper length ≤ 3 meters), Medium (3-3.7 meters), Heavy (≥ 3.7 meters)
Drive Type: Primarily rear-wheel drive, some models use front-wheel drive to enhance traction
By Application: Can be divided into earthmoving graders, road graders, and mining graders
By Power Source: Can be divided into internal combustion engine graders and electric graders
