1. The wood shredder should be fixed to the ground, preferably with cement.
2. Before operation, a test run should be performed. This involves simply rotating the main shaft to check if the bearings are functioning properly. Before installation, check that the gaps between components are secure and that the foundation is stable. Once installed, the machine is essentially set; reinstalling the wood shredder wastes time and materials.
3. The shredder and motor should be mounted on a base made of angle steel.
4. When starting the wood shredder, ensure there are no foreign objects on it. During the test run, check if it rotates in reverse. Feed a small amount of material to check if the finished product meets the required quality. After purchasing and testing the machine, wait until the previous piece of wood is completely inside the feed inlet before adding the next piece to avoid jamming.
5. The wood shredder should be fed evenly. If any abnormal noises, excessively high bearing or machine body temperatures, or material spraying outwards are detected, stop the machine immediately and inspect for the cause. 6. Before starting and stopping the branch shredder, perform an electrical check to prevent electrical leakage. The branches should be of moderate length, ideally under 30 cm, and not too thick. Ensure the inlet and outlet are spacious to avoid accidents.
7. After 300 hours of operation, clean the bearings and change the oil. Fill the bearing housing with oil to about 1/3 full, and never exceed 1/2 full. Remove the drive belt for extended periods of inactivity.
8. Before stopping the branch shredder, stop feeding and ensure all material is emptied before disconnecting the power. Clean and maintain the machine after shutdown.
9. Before operating the branch shredder, carefully inspect the material to prevent metal, stones, or other hard objects from entering the shredding chamber and causing accidents.
10. Avoid frequently changing the pulleys on the branch shredder to prevent excessively high or low speeds.
